5 Tips to Plan a Giveaway for your Business

There’s so much strategy for business growth that can be handled by giving away freebies. It goes a really long way.

The problem is, an average business person has no idea how to even host one. with any new tactic, you need a solid strategy in place to make it worthwhile for you and your audience.

Below are tips to help host one:

Decide on a goal for the giveaway

Hosting an Instagram giveaway is not only awesome for your followers, it can also be a huge benefit to you if you plan it right! By choosing a goal for your giveaway you can quickly and easily increase your Instagram, Facebook and Twitter followers, Email subscribers, Blog readers, etc.

Pick a great prize

What’s a giveaway without a prize?! Make sure the prize you choose is something your target market (or current audience) needs. The idea is that by choosing a prize that attracts your target market, the more of those people you will attract.

Avoid plenty rules

Next we’ll need to decide on the rules for our giveaway. This can really impact the amount of people who end up putting entries. Too many formalties may cause your audience to avoid entering the contest at all! Instead, we want to make sure your giveaway instructions are concise and simple to follow.

Don’t make it take too long

When deciding on a period for your Instagram giveaway, don’t assume the longer it lasts the more people will put in entries. Limited time offers are still used for a reason because they give your audience a sense of urgency. So, to major on that, I suggest sticking to 3-7 days.

Loud it!!!

Simply making a post for your Instagram giveaway may attract some entrants but if you really want it to reach the widest range of people you have to get serious about promotion!
