You don’t have to be head over heels intelligent to be an entrepreneur. You just have to be smart and do the right things at the right time.
Never say YES in a hurry: As an entrepreneur, you don’t jump on every idea or suggestion your team or staff gives you, you still have to ponder and be sure its the right decision. You also don’t need to run to every collaboration. Ask yourself the right questions. Do you really want to do this? Will this work for your brand?
Never say NO in a hurry: You should check around for the possibility of such idea and of course if it tallies with the vision of your company. Don’t look at it just from your own microscope. It might be dirty!
Don’t multitask: So much to do, so little time. I get it, but you’ll get much more done when you focus on just one thing at a time. Jumping from task to task, answering the phone every time it rings, and checking email throughout the day only leads to disaster. Close your door, turn down the phone volume, and avoid email for a while, then commit two hours to one project. This can literally save you hours a day.
Take in employees because they are friends: Please, never. In as much as you take them in as friends, you tend to still see them as same after they’ve done something wrong or unintelligent if they’re friends that you cannot scold on a wrong step they have taken.
