The Role of Social Media in Business

Imagine staying in a shop all day without even a single customer noticing you. Yes, that’s what it looks like when you run a business without social media presence.

Actually, the essence of Social media for a business can not be over emphasized. Asides from making people notice your business, it does a lot more:

  1. Get your voice heard: Why do we need to buy your product? How does it work? What exactly is your product? What problem does it solve? Social media gives you the platform you need to let people know about your business, why they should buy, how it works and what exactly your product gives them.
  2. It takes you outside your physical circle: If you’re passionate about what you do, have a compelling vision for how you see the world (your world), and want to touch people beyond a discrete circle of ‘fans’, then social media offers you everything you will ever need.
  3. Get sales: Study has shown that over 1 billion people are online everyday and that gives quite a bit of snow peak into how many people can get to see your business and need what you have. The probability is 89% and that’s really what your business needs. Trust me, the sales get large!

The essence of social media for a business cannot be overemphasized. It’s way beyond just having your business, it also gives your business that legitimate feel and also a high sense of value. The number 1 and last rule is; use it well!
