South Africa’s Centbee is Set to Save the Global Market through Bitcoin Investment

Centbee is a South African fintech company based in Johannesburg. It was co-founded by Lorien Gamaroff and Angus Brown in 2017 as a Bitcoin Wallet and Merchant Payment Ecosystem Company that focuses on Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency and Financial Services.

It is generally believed by the team that Bitcoin SV will be the fastest, cheapest and best way to pay for goods and services at any retailer anywhere in the world by 2020 and they are focused on building an ecosystem of merchants and customers, providing the ‘on-ramps’ to the Bitcoin super-highway.

The Centbee team is excited by the potential of Bitcoin SV to enable payments and a sound currency, but are also aware of the risks. Hence, they strive to prevent abuse of their systems and processes for illegal ends.

They see the opportunity to leverage Bitcoin SV to provide services to a global customer base by providing an intuitive Bitcoin SV wallet. The wallet can be used to send and receive Bitcoin SV easily to friends and family using a mobile number, and to pay real-world merchants.

Currently, few merchants accept Bitcoin SV, but Centbee can provide simple and reliable interfaces to allow any merchant to register and receive payment, settled into their bank account in fiat currency. This helps to remove the risk of Bitcoin SV price volatility and leverages the immutability of the blockchain network.

The remittance model uses Bitcoin SV as the ‘rails’ to make cross-border payments to support family and easily and cheaply as possible. The social importance of this service cannot be overemphasized, and Centbee believes that through providing a commercial service, they are helping people to connect with and provide for their loved ones.

Centbee recognizes the need to inform and educate regulators, merchants and the media and customers about Bitcoin SV and blockchain and this is the reason why Centbee’s Co-CEO, Lorien Gamaroff is in high demand at international conferences and private events, where he sensitizes people on the idea of sustaining the world’s financial standing through Bitcoin SV.

This sensitization helps to increase awareness of Bitcoin SV, reduce misconceptions and to encourage adoption of Bitcoin SV.

The startup currently has a staff complement of 8. It continues to grow and remains resolute in the believe that Bitcoin SV would eventually be fully accepted as the fastest, cheapest and best way to pay for goods and services in the nearest future.
