South Africa-based Bonolo Ramokhele is Easing Insurance Processes for Clients

Bonolo Ramokhele is the Founder and Executive Chairperson of Differentia a startup that was founded in 2014, with the aim of providing peace of mind for clients in all stages of the insurance journey through fair value for money premiums and easy and painless claims processing. It is a licenced financial financial services provider with a sole focus on short- and long-term insurance brokerage services.

At Differentia, Bonolo has overseen M&A deal advisory work in mining, agriculture, private security and manufacturing. The largest transaction he has advised on was a M&A deal totaling R360 million in Agriculture.

Bonolo holds a Bachelor of Accounting Sciences as well as honors degree from Witwatersrand University, he is a qualified chartered accountant having completed articles at Deloitte and Touche. During his tenure at Deloitte and Touche, he managed audits for listed and unlisted clients spanning from mining, engineering, pension funds, mining supplies, public sector and technology and also was a member of the firm’s Employment Equity Forum in Pretoria.

His career profile includes; being an External Auditor at Deloitte (South Africa) from 2013 till 2014, Trustee at the South African National AIDS Council Trust since March 2019, Treasurer General at the Black Business Council since August 2018, Finance Director at Differentia Financial Services since January 2018, Chief Investment Officer at Taraba Holdings since December 2017, Executive Chairman at Differentia since October 2014, Council Member of Central Johannesburg College from 2016 till March 2019 and Senior Lecturer at University of South Africa since 2013.

He is passionate about education and skills development and thus sits on the Council of the Central Johannesburg College and is the chairperson of the Audit and Risk Committee. He also sits on the council of the Guateng CET College where he serves as a chairperson of the Finance Committee and serves on the Audit and Risk Committee.

He was recognized by SAICA as one of the top 35 Chartered Accountants under 35 in South Africa and has also been recognized by Forbes Africa Magazine in 2014 as one of the entrepreneurs to watch out for in Africa.
