Meet Evans Akanno, Founder of Cregital, a Nigerian Creative and Digital Agency helping Brands Make Smart Impressions

Evans Akanno is one of the Nigerians that has seized the opportunity to explore the unique Technology industry.

He founded Cregital a digital project agency in 2015, with the primary goal of collaborating with other brands to build website experiences and brand identities for forward thinking companies.

Cregital consists a team of creatives driven by the synergy of design and technology and they specialize majorly in branding, UX/UI design, web design and development, digital marketing, photography, videography, graphics design and software building.

Evans Akanno has worked with quite a number of e-commerce platforms, he interned at Nigerian Petroleum Exchange (NNPC –NipeX) in 2008 and he ventured into graphics designing in 2010 as a freelance designer. Subsequently, he landed a job as a brand and social media strategist at Jumia Nigeria Jumia Nigeria combining his love for designing and writing, he then moved to Konga as a creative strategist in 2013.

In 2014, he set up Zegist a lifestyle community “for open conversations on anything and everything” before he eventually left paid employment to establish Cregital Agency in 2015.

In October 2016, Cregital was awarded Best Website Development Company of the Year by the Nigeria Technology Awards. Evans also won the Creative Professional of the Year award at the 2016 edition of The Future Awards Africa, and the Tech Young Achiever of the Year award at the 2018 Nigeria Technology Awards.

Last year, he founded another tech platform, called Farmkart, which enables people to bank in agriculture by investing in fish farming. In the same year, he also launched Acts of Random Kindness, Cregital’s CSR initiative to give back to the community.

Evans and his team have been able to make noteworthy achievements in the tech and creative space in Nigeria and Cregital remains one of the most thriving startups in Nigeria.
