As part of its Super Startup week, which kicked-off on Monday, September 18th and will run till September 30th, Jumia has unveiled a nationwide competition targeted at startups and new businesses.
The competition is aimed at challenging and encouraging entrepreneurs who are developing a unique digital applications, smart solutions or much needed service that helps to solve tangible consumer or business problems Nigeria.
Commenting on the Super Startup initiative, the CEO of Jumia Nigeria, Juliet Anammah noted, “Nigeria is a country of promise, and we are optimistic that through the Startup space we will always be to help fulfil this promise by developing unique solutions for our ecosystem. We believe that the entrepreneurship challenge is a key element of this and certainly exemplifies the impact of Jumia’s efforts to foster entrepreneurship among our next generation of business leaders.”

Entrepreneurs with great ideas or new businesses can pitch their ideas via social media for a chance to secure the N1 million Naira in business funding.
