2nd Annual Zimba Women Technology for Business Summit To Hold In November

The 2nd Annual Zimba Women Technology for Business Summit is set to hold on the 15th and 16th of November 2017 at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala.

The event is an International 2-day interactive learning, professional development and Business to Business match making summit that gathers women-owned or women-led Small and Medium Enterprises to generate discussion and exchange on the potential of entrepreneurship promotion and innovation to national and regional competitiveness using ICT tools.

The theme for this year is “Harnessing opportunities of global trade to empower the African Woman”

The summit will establish multiple business-to-business linkages thus creating a platform for various businesses to showcase the business and technological strengths of their SME sector to the country.

It will feature activities such as interactive learning sessions, group discussions, workshops, exhibition and interactive meetings that will help participants gain ample information strategies, insights, mentors and perspectives on business.

The workshops will mainly focus on access to finance, access to markets, access to technology, capacity enhancement, women empowerment, and the girls’ mentoring programme.

The summit will see Deborah Malac (The US Mission in Uganda), Maxima Nsimenta (Livara Cosmetics), Kateshumbwa Dickson (Uganda Revenue Authority), Evelyn Namara (!nnovate) and CK Japheth (Innovation Village) as the speakers.

Companies and organizations attending this year’s event include Facebook, The US Mission in Uganda, International Trade Centre and Deloitte.
